Legendary Brazilian artist Baby do Brasil, the first singer to ever perform on a Trio
Elétrico, is coming to New York on February 21st with her highly anticipated “Baby do Brasil U.S.
Carnaval Tour.” The tour celebrates her groundbreaking legacy and brings the vibrant spirit, rhythm, and
freedom of Brazilian Carnival to international audiences.
In 2026, Baby do Brasil marks 55 years of an extraordinary career, highlighted by a historic moment
that forever changed Brazilian Carnaval. She was the first artist to add a feminine voice to the Trio
Elétrico, performing the anthem of Esporte Clube Bahia at the iconic Castro Alves Square in Salvador.
Until that moment, Trio Elétrico performances—created by pioneers Dodô and Osmar—were exclusively
instrumental. Baby’s innovation became a cultural milestone, transforming the Carnaval of Bahia and
establishing women as a central force in the world’s largest street celebration.
An event not to be missed. Come join us for an unforgettable night where we will celebrate Brazilian
Carnaval in New York.
Recognized as one of the most emblematic names in Brazilian music, Baby has also defined a unique
Carnaval identity throughout her career. Following a previous U.S. season with her band, she was
honored with a solo feature on Billboard, praising her ability to fuse pop, rock, Brazilian music, and a
wide range of genres she masterfully commands.
