Salsa, Bachata, Cha-cha and Cumbia lessons with Professional dancer and instructor Claudia Vasquez - SALSARICHMONDSGR - CANCELLED

Claudia Vasquez has been in the dance world since the age of 5. Learned salsa in her late teenage years from Dr. Jorge Mercado. She earned numerous school scholarships for the continued support of after school dance programs for high schools in Houston, TX. Soon she created her own dance company named after the non-profit organization “Houston Salsa Dancers” as an artistic director and choreographer from 2002-2008. After that she continued doing dance projects as Cla-V edition for ladies’ teams, mixed gender teams, duets, and was one of the co-directors of Culture Beat Entertainment in Houston, TX. Lead a college dance program for 5 years at the University of Houston called “Cougar Salseros”. 

She trained at the University of Houston with a series of various dance courses such as tap, ballet, and dance interpretation. Continues to take many workshops from dance congresses nationally and internationally. Other dances also include flamenco, bachata, cha-cha,chá, guaguanco, afro-cuban, bachata, merengue, cumbia and more. Also trained online from Tania Cannarsa and the Mambo Virtual Academy. Claudia has taught lessons to all ages for over 20 years. She is also an educator professional teaching Foreign Language for secondary schools.  Currently teaching dance at Mambo Room in Virginia Beach and most recently performed at the 2nd Annual Veteranos Salseros Dance in Richmond, Virginia.
