Salsa After Dark is a relaxed Saturday night with live percussion, a beginner-friendly salsa lesson and plenty of time to dance afterward. You do not need any previous experience, and you do not need to bring a partner.
Doors open at 6:30 PM. The first live set begins at 7:00 PM, followed by a short salsa lesson covering a few basic steps and turns. Once the lesson is over, the floor will stay open for salsa, bachata and a little Latin jazz.
Between the live sets, there will be a brief light-and-color feature using a prism, reflective surfaces and a low-power laser pointer. It is a small visual break rather than a full stage show. The equipment will remain behind the performance area and will be handled only by the lighting operator.
Anyone interested in the type of compact lighting equipment we looked at while planning the setup can find it here:

Please do not bring your own laser pointer or other lighting equipment to the venue.
There will be some seating around the edge of the room, but most of the main floor will be kept open for dancing. Comfortable shoes are recommended. Drinks will be available for purchase at the bar.
Guests must be 18 or older and should bring a valid photo ID.
