Los Daniels, named after America's beloved Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey, will once again prove their rock solid reputation on Aug. 1 at Tijuana's Black Box.

Los Daniels formed in 2007, and are known for their danceable and dynamic rhythmic sound that fuses flamenco, cumbia, and Brit rock sounds using vocalist Ismael Salcedo's smooth gentleman lyricism. The fellas: Ismael, Poncho, Rasheed, Rene and Chatly, adopted the Los Daniels name in honor of the whiskey they shared when they officially became a band to remind them that they are more than a musical rock band -- they are a musical family.

The Mexico City quartet is on tour promoting their their fourth studio album, "Amanecer," produced by Armando Avila. The two-disc album features 11 new tracks, plus a DVD of their live concert from El Teatro Metropolitan, which was considered in 2013 as one of Mexico's best concerts. The album includes the cumbia-driven crowd favorite duet with Natalia Lafourcade, "Quisiera Saber."

The band is well-known for being especially impressive live, but they can now add "shoe designer" to their resume. On their website's merchandise channel, they feature seven sneaker styles that are sort of Converse and Vans-inspired -- totally fit for a Los Daniels music fan.

Just goes to show, these guys can do anything.
